Motorcycle Kills Pedestrian, 36; Driver Not Held
A 36-year-old woman was killed when she was struck by a motorcycle as she walked across a street early Sunday, Fullerton police said.
The accident occurred about 2:50 a.m. in the 900 block of West Orangethorpe Avenue, Sgt. Ken Head said. Leora Fay McComb of Fullerton apparently was crossing the street in the middle of the block, where there is no sidewalk.
The driver of the motorcycle, Chris Mireles, 24, and a passenger, Alfred Gomez Guerrero, 22, both of Fullerton, were taken to St. Jude Hospital, where they were treated and released, Head said.
Police said the driver was not held and that an investigation into the accident is continuing.
