Accused murderer Armando Joseph Liberati was extradited from Philadelphia to Los Angeles on Friday--21 years after he allegedly stabbed and killed his ex-wife’s fiance.
Liberati apparently fled to the East Coast city after killing Frederick Shaheen and wounding his former wife, Maryann Carter, now 67, in the Los Feliz area, in September, 1964.
Liberati, 65, who lived under the assumed name of Albert Abbonizio in Philadelphia until his arrest in February, is scheduled to be arraigned on a murder charge Monday in Los Angeles Municipal Court.
