The United States national soccer team will play England at the Coliseum on June 16, the United States Soccer Federation announced Monday.
The game marks the 35th anniversary of the United States’ historic 1-0 decision over England in the 1950 World Cup, America’s greatest soccer victory ever.
England and the United States are in the process of qualifying for the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.
The next qualifying game for the United States is against Trinidad & Tobago May 15 in St. Louis. Costa Rica is the the other nation in the three-nation group.
