Garden Grove : City to Honor Owners of Beautiful Homes

Share

Garden Grove, with 42,000 households, is about to honor some of its most beautiful houses, yards and neighborhoods.

On May 14, Mayor Jonathan Cannon and the City Council will present 18 Home of the Year awards and 360 Home Beautification awards. Additionally, several neighborhoods will win Neighborhood Pride awards.

The city is Orange County’s fourth largest with about 128,000 residents.

The awards are part of the annual Garden Grove Gorgeous program and will be presented at a 7 p.m. ceremony in the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave. A home improvement “mini-fair” will feature booths and displays on water and energy conservation, effective burglar-resistant locks, the latest in telephone technology, home-improvement loan programs and landscaping, sprinkler systems and floral arranging.
