UCLA Conference to Explore Joint Development Projects

“Utilizing the Wealth in California’s Public Real Estate--Can Joint Development Projects Help to Offset Federal Budget Cuts?” is the topic of a conference planned for Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. by UCLA Extension’s Public Policy Program and the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy at the UCLA Faculty Center.

The conference was designed to help public officials, private developers and financiers examine the potential benefits of jointly developing property owned by state and local governments, schools and special districts.

Program chairmen are attorney Neil Roberts of Roberts & Wells, and LeRoy Graymer, director of the Public Policy Program, UCLA Extension. Cooperating organizations include the California Assn. of School Business Officials, California Department of Transportation, California School Boards Assn., County Supervisors Assn. of California and the League of California Cities.
