John Thompson, a project architect with Carli Architecture since 1977, has been named vice president and will take on additional management and policy setting responsibilities. Muriel Berman, a former community development administrator for the city of Redondo Beach, has been named marketing coordinator for the Los Angeles firm.

Robert Chais, an attorney, has been named senior vice president of property acquisition and sales of Traweek Investment Co., Marina del Rey.

Kathy Habash, recent owner and manager of Commercial Interior Consultants, has joined the Irvine Co. as director of interior project development.
