Money Is What Counts in Horse Racing, Too

The Spend a Buck people never had any intention of running their horse in the Belmont, and with good reason after knee surgery, so I think the Jersey Derby is the obvious choice to run.

Unless you plan on going for the Triple Crown, the Preakness has lost a lot of its appeal in the last few years. If Chick Lang wants owners to take his race more seriously, then the purse should be raised to match the importance.
