Laguna Beach Man Killed in Collision
A Laguna Beach driver was killed early Saturday when he was hit by another motorist on Coast Highway, the California Highway Patrol said.
A CHP spokesman said Michael D. Moses, 27, was pronounced dead at Mission Community Hospital in Mission Viejo shortly after the 1 a.m. accident near Aliso Drive, in unincorporated territory near San Juan Capistrano.
The spokesman said Moses was traveling east on Aliso Drive when he made an illegal left turn onto Coast Highway, swerved and was broadsided by a car driven by Alisa Villamor, 21, of Laguna Niguel.
Villamor and a passenger in her car, Ronald Johnson, 22, of Dana Point, were treated for injuries and released from South Coast Medical Center in South Laguna.
A passenger with Moses, Bradford Rhodes, 26, of Laguna Beach, also suffered a minor injury and was treated at Mission Community Hospital, the CHP spokesman said.
