Bryan Littlefield of Long Beach was named to the California Arts Council by Gov. George Deukmejian, replacing Marl Young of Los Angeles, whose term expired. Littlefield, 52, a Democrat, is a member of the Fine Arts Affiliates of California State University, Long Beach, and former member of the board of directors for the Long Beach Symphony.
