A Menlo Park man has been granted a court hearing on his request that the doctor attending his brain-damaged wife allow her to die “with some dignity.” Dr. George Waltuch has repeatedly refused Harold Pritchard’s plea that the feeding tube for 43-year-old Elaine Pritchard be disconnected, according to documents filed in San Mateo County Probate Court by the husband’s attorney. Mrs. Pritchard, who suffered permanent brain damage in a car accident three years ago, is in a nursing home. A hearing is scheduled for June 24.
