The body of an unidentified man who had been stabbed in the throat was discovered Thursday in a sewage-filled stream bed about 140 feet north of the U.S.-Mexico border, San Diego police said.

Tijuana police received an anonymous call about 11 a.m. reporting that the body had been found near Dairy Mart and Monument roads, west of Interstate 8. Tijuana police told U.S. authorities of the body.

The man, who appeared to have been in his late teens or early 20s, had been stabbed twice in the throat and his head was covered with rocks. Police said he carried no identification but appeared to be a Mexican national. There were no suspects in the killing.
