Basketball Tournament to Begin in Montebello

The third annual National Invitational Mexican-American basketball tournament, sponsored by the Nostros Athletic Assn., will be held this weekend at Schurr High School in Montebello.

The tournament, matching teams from seven cities in the Southwest United States and one from Mexico, will consist of four games Friday evening, starting at 6; eight Saturday, starting at 10 a.m., and the semifinal and championship games Sunday, starting at 1 p.m. Admission is free.
