Avoid Traffic Crunch: Beachgoers, shoppers and others visiting downtown Laguna Beach this summer can avoid the parking crunch by using the city’s satellite parking lots and tram system. Beginning Saturday, trams will leave every 20 to 30 minutes from the Laguna Beach High School parking lot, 625 Park Ave., and from the city’s “Act 5” parking lot, on Laguna Canyon Road north of the festival grounds. Parking at the two lots is free and a ride on the tram costs 50 cents each way. The trams will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekends until Sept. 9. But they will run until 11 p.m. during the annual Festival of the Arts, July 10 through Aug. 29.
