‘Those Days’ Aren’t Gone Forever
The arrogance of Dodger management is astonishing, even by their current high standards. They kick away an important game by committing five errors and the manager tells us, “It was just one of those days.”
Why change anything? Campanis and company realize that, regardless of product quality, 2.5 million slavering fans will continue to pour through the turnstiles. Until fans begin to demand a decent performance for their hard-earned dollars, we can all rest assured that there will be many more of “those days.”
