Osaka Rallies to Win Japanese Tournament
Japan’s Tatsuko Osako came from behind with her third consecutive 70 Sunday and won the Dunlop Ladies Golf Tournament, beating Taiwan’s Chen Li-ying on the final hole.
Osako, who started the final round two strokes behind Chen, caught up with her at the 17th hole and then parred the 342-yard, par-4 18th hole while Chen three putted for a bogey in the drizzly weather.
Osako shot a six-under-par 210 for three rounds on the 6,171-yard, par-72 Forest Golf Club course.
Osako earned $16,000 and a car for her first victory of the season and the 29th of her career. Chen, Taiwan’s former amateur champion, finished at 211 after Sunday’s 73.
