A woman, her two children and a family friend were killed when fire destroyed their home in the mountain hamlet of Hyampom, Trinity County authorities reported. The dead were identified as Julia A. Mulvey, 25; her children, Ronald, 6, and Rachael, 1, and Ronald H. Carey Sr., 40, a friend who had been living at the house.
