A La Verne woman was arrested for investigation of shooting a neighbor to death during a dispute over who had the right of way on a narrow stretch of road, Los Angeles County sheriff’s investigators said. John Clements, 43, of La Verne was pronounced dead at the scene after his neighbor, Lynda George, 33, allegedly shot him in the chest with a large-caliber rifle. Deputy Lynda Edmonds said the two had been arguing over who had the right of way when George allegedly gunned him down in the 9300 block of North San Dimas Canyon Road.
