WW I Vets Group Will Give Artifacts to Downey Museum

Disbanding because of declining membership, the Veterans of World War I's Downey Barracks 2348 will donate the group's artifacts to the Downey Historical Society, 12540 Rives Ave., in a ceremony at 1 p.m. Wednesday. According to Commander Warren Purdy, there are only seven soldiers from World War I remaining in the 25-year-old veterans organization.
