Special Trash Pickup Available in Sylmar
Sylmar residents will be able to throw out large household items, furniture and rubbish on their regular trash collection day through July 16 by notifying the Bureau of Sanitation of special items.
Residents may dispose of items such as water heaters, mattresses, stoves, refrigerators, furniture and building materials.
Full trash containers should not weigh more than 60 pounds. Items such as lumber, tree limbs, brush and newspapers should be tied in bundles less than four feet long and should not exceed 40 pounds.
All doors and locks must be removed from refrigerators, freezers and furniture.
