An early morning fire in a South-Central Los Angeles home killed Robert Jones, 18, critically injured two infants and caused burns to the hand of a firefighter, the Los Angeles City Fire Department reported. Jones died at Century Community Hospital of burns and smoke inhalation about two hours after fire swept through the single-story, wood-frame structure in the 600 block of East 53rd Street. Three-month-old James Bruce Estis and Robbie Lee, 1, were taken to California Hospital in critical condition from smoke inhalation.
