Gunmen Attack U.S. Consulate in Lima

LIMA, Peru —
Gunmen firing sub-machine guns from a car attacked the U.S. Consulate in Lima, causing damage to the building’s windows but no injuries, a U.S. Embassy spokesman said today.
He said the gunfire in the attack Sunday night pocked the windows of the consulate, located in a high-rise building in the Miraflores district. No one immediately claimed responsibility.
