A jury in Ashland, Ky., ruling against General Electric Co., found that outdated aluminum wiring was the chief cause of the 1977 Beverly Hills Supper Club fire that killed 165 persons. GE was the last of 14 defendants still involved in the retrial of a lawsuit, filed by the families of those killed and injured, against electrical manufacturers. The other companies have reached out-of-court settlements since the trial began April 30.
