Ground was broken in South-Central Los Angeles for a new building to house training for registered nurses and physicians’ assistants for the Charles R. Drew Postgraduate Medical School Foundation near Martin Luther King Jr. Medical Center. The 28,000-square-foot W. M. Keck Foundation-Allied Health Building, next door to the existing Drew facility, also will include areas for nuclear medicine, radiology and ultrasound technologies as well as medical records. It will be built with private funds from the Keck Foundation and other sources.
