Outlaws Acquire Seven Express Players

The Arizona Outlaws of the United States Football League on Thursday announced the acquisition of seven players from the USFL’s Los Angeles Express.
Arizona said it obtained halfback Mel Gray, strong safety Dwight Drane, middle linebacker Howard Carson, offensive guard Wayne Jones, free safety Troy West, cornerback John Warren and tight end Ken O’Neal.
The players were obtained in exchange for “substantial financial considerations,” Outlaw General Manager Bill Tatham Jr. said.
