Control Data is selling $300 million in receivables.

Credithrift Financial, American General’s consumer finance subsidiary will purchase the consumer finance receivables from Control Data’s consumer finance subsidiary, Commercial Credit, for undisclosed terms. Completion of the purchase is subject to approval by the boards of directors of the respective companies, as well as governmental agencies. The proposed purchase represents the outstandings of 65 commercial credit offices in 11 western states.
