A $3.5 million lawsuit has been filed at Boise, Ida., in connection with an accident July 27 at the Firebird Raceway in nearby Emmett in which one person was killed and 20 injured.
A funny car dragster driven by Jim Dunn of Los Angeles went out of control while he was warming it up and slammed into a concession stand.
The suit was filed on behalf of the husband of track employee Danielle Winston, 22, who was killed in the crash.
Along with Dunn, the suit names raceway officials and the American Drag Racing Assn. as defendants.
