American Satellite in Pact With Halliburton

ROCKVILLE, Md. — American Satellite Co., a partnership between Fairchild Industries Inc. and Continental Telecom Inc., said it was awarded a $4.2-million contract by Halliburton Co. to provide a high-speed satellite data network.
The communications services concern said it will provide data and facsimile service to about 120 sites in the United States.
