B of A is dropping its money-management service.

Beginning in mid-September, Bank of America will no longer offer its Executive Financial Counseling program for wealthy customers. The service, which has been provided through B of A branches throughout the nation, was established in 1972. The bank said the move is part of an ongoing effort to eliminate unprofitable operations. The 43 bank employees involved will be reassigned.
