Sheriff’s deputies, responding to a complaint that marijuana was being sold at a Spring Valley house, discovered six pounds of crystal methamphetamine, nine guns including an illegal sawed-off shotgun, and about $82,000 in cash, Deputy Dave Stafford said.

Officers arrested Linda Saindon, 37, and Jim Workman, 22, at the house on Campo Road on Wednesday. Deputies, led by Sgt. Brian Roberts, also discovered one pound of marijuana, one quart of ether, eight scales used for weighing methamphetamine, and a programmable digital police scanner, Stafford said. An antenna for police radio reception was found on the roof.

One pound of methamphetamine has an estimated street value of $125,000, according to Ron D’Ulisse, a federal Drug Enforcement Administration spokesman. Ether is used to make the drug, also known as “speed.”

Stafford said officers also impounded a 1975 Porsche Targa valued at $37,000, a Pontiac Fiero and a motor home.

Saindon and Workman, both of Concordia, Kan., were booked on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of marijuana for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia and being in a house where narcotics are sold. Stafford said the investigation is continuing.
