On his second evening working as night clerk, Tyrone Dumas, 25, was found shot to death beside the counter of the Huntington Hotel at 752 S. Main St. in downtown Los Angeles. Central Division detectives said the body was discovered by another clerk who arrived to relieve him. The victim had been shot several times. An empty cash drawer was on the counter.
