Some three rounds and 54 holes later, Duffy Waldorf of Tarzana remains in first place in the Pacific Coast Amateur Golf Championship at the Los Angeles Country Club.

But, unfortunately for Waldorf, it’s not too lonely at the top.

Tied for the lead with Waldorf at 214 are Ed Cuff Jr. of La Mesa, Tim Robinson of Palo Alto and Greg Bruckner of Manhattan Beach. Waldorf and Cuff, who tied for the lead in the second round, shot a 2-over 73 Thursday to stay tied. Robinson and Bruckner carded a 2-under 69, creating a four-way tie for the lead.

Waldorf, the only player to be in the lead from the first round, shot a 38 on the front and a 35 on the back for his second 73 in two days.

Two shots off the pace entering today’s final round of the 72-hole tournament is Brad Greer. Greer, the two-time defending Southern California amateur champion, shot a 72 Thursday to give him a 216 total.
