Lora Wins WBC Bantamweight Title

MIAMI —
Miguel (Happy) Lora, scoring constantly with a punishing right hand, won a unanimous 12-round decision Friday night over Daniel Zaragoza to take the World Boxing Council bantamweight crown.
Lora (22-0) knocked Zaragoza down once in the fourth round and twice in the fifth but couldn’t put away Zaragoza (28-3) in their bout at the Tamiami Fair Grounds.
Judge Tony Fillippo scored the fight 115-110, Miguel Donato 118-107 and Tony Castellanas 116-109.
