Tahoe Touring

I recently took a five-day tour of Lake Tahoe and Reno sponsored by California Discovery Tours. It was a delightful package that included everything from a ranch breakfast at the Ponderosa to the beautiful MGM Grand, where we saw a fabulous show and gambled in high style.

An unavoidable delay in the trip home could have caused a lot of grumpiness among the passengers had it not been for the quick thinking of the gracious escort. She not only made arrangements at the visitors center for a special showing of a film on Mono Lake, but she provided a spur-of-the-moment picnic in the park which everyone enjoyed immensely. It’s thoughtful consideration like that shown by the escort and the bus driver that makes the difference between an ordinary tour and an adventure.
