Ozaki Wins Japan PGA With 20-Foot Birdie Putt

TSUCHIURA, Japan —
Tateo Ozaki sank a 20-foot birdie putt on the par-4 first hole of a sudden-death playoff against Seiichi Kanai to win the $160,000 Japan PGA championship Sunday.
Ozaki won $28,800, which was his second victory of the season and the fifth in his pro career.
Ozaki and Kanai finished the regulation 72 holes with a total of 288, 4-under par.
