Weider Names Elson as Vice President

Stephen R. Elson was appointed executive vice president of Weider Health & Fitness, Woodland Hills-based producers of food supplements, exercise equipment and fitness publications.
Elson, who was vice president for marketing and strategic planning, will direct advertising, marketing, product management and strategic planning for Weider, according to a company statement.
