Paul J. Schneider has been named chief financial officer at MSI Data Corp., the Costa Mesa maker of portable inventory-counting devices.
Schneider comes to MSI with 24 years of financial management experience, including five years as executive vice president and chief financial officer of HCC Industries, an electronic component manufacturing company in Encino.
Prior to joining HCC, Schneider was a partner in the certified public accounting firm of Touche Ross. Schneider replaces David Young, who left the company and now serves as chief financial officer of San/Bar Corp. in Irvine.
