West Covina
The Youth Employment Service for Covina and Glendora has moved to West Covina, where its central office, operated by the state Employment Development Department, handles employment of young people for five cities. Manager Ralph Vega said hiring for temporary jobs in Covina, West Covina, Glendora, La Puente and Industry is taking place at 933 S. Glendora Ave., West Covina. A reduction in funding caused the closure of some service points, Vega said, but does not affect the service, which provides jobs for people ages 14 to 21. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
