2 Arrested in Holdup
A Baldwin Park man was arrested about a half-block away from the scene of an armed robbery Saturday afternoon when officers summoned by a witness discovered the man hiding on the floor of a car, said Huntington Beach police.
Robert Jordan, 20, and a 17-year-old woman driver whose name wasn’t released were charged with armed robbery, said Police Lt. George Renek. A year-old baby in the car was turned over to the custody of the woman’s father.
The robbery occurred about 4 p.m. when a man armed with a revolver held up a Radio Shack store at 18033 Beach Blvd. and locked the clerk and manager in the back room before fleeing with about $200. A clerk at an adjoining store saw the holdup and called police with a description of the man and the car. A revolver was found in the vehicle.
