Micro Bond Technologies, a 2-year-old Canoga Park manufacturer of components for circuit boards, has been acquired by Gould Inc., an Illinois-based electronics giant. The purchase price was not disclosed.
All of Micro Bond’s 35 employees will remain with the organization, according to both companies. “It’s a good fit,” said Jerome S. Sallo, Micro Bond’s president.
Micro Bond is privately held and would not release sales figures. Gould recorded 1984 sales of $1.4 billion.
Micro Bond’s products include flexible circuitry that can be bent and shaped into small electrical devices. One of Gould’s related products is a thin copper foil used as a base for the boards.
Micro Bond will operate as part of Gould’s Materials and Components Group, and will be known as Gould Inc./Micro Bond Technologies, the companies said.
