The San Diego County coroner’s office said Wednesday that Donald Axel Martinsen, 57, of San Diego, died of head injuries he suffered in a vehicle accident in Oceanside.
A California Highway Patrol spokesman said Martinsen was westbound in his motor home on California 76 about 4 p.m. Tuesday when the vehicle went off the road on a sharp curve, 3 1/2 miles east of Valley Center Road. The spokesman said Martinsen was thrown through the windshield when the vehicle hit an embankment and was crushed when the it rolled over him.
