Police raided six locations in South Los Angeles and arrested six reputed gang members in the separate slayings of two men. Both of victims, police said, had been associated with gang and narcotics activities. Clarence James, 26, was gunned down June 10 as he was leaving his girlfriend’s home at 531 West 83rd St. Carlton O’Malley, 24, was shot Aug. 11 while getting into his car at 46th and Western avenues. Police identified several known gang members as suspects in the shootings and officers obtained search warrants. Police arrested six suspects in the slayings and three other people for unrelated investigation of charges. All of those arrested, except a woman and a child, were booked at the 77th Street Division Jail.
