Lowry Mark McCaslin, former partner and general manager of Arcadia-based McCaslin Properties, has joined Maguire Thomas Partners, major downtown Los Angeles project developers, to assume responsibilities for the leasing and preleasing of nearly 4 million square feet of prime office space.
He will direct the leasing of the 2.5-million-square-foot Crocker Center; the preleasing of the planned 73-story, 1.3-million- square-foot Library Tower, downtown projects being developed by Maguire Thomas Partners, and the leasing of Plaza Las Fuentes, a 750,000-square-foot, mixed-use center in Pasadena.
He is the son of Lowry McCaslin, longtime Southern California developer. McCaslin Properties owns and developed the 73-acre McCaslin Business Park in Monterey Park.
Maguire Thomas Partners, ranking with the nation's largest investment builders, also is building 40-story, mixed-use twin towers in Philadelphia, called Commerce Square.
Library Tower is expected to cost $315 million and will become the city's tallest tower, topping the 62-story First Interstate Building. I .M. Pei and Partners are the architects. Grand Place Tower, with 65 floors and 1.2 million square feet, is also part of that project and is being designed by Philip Johnson and John Burgee.
