Nortek boosted its bid for Transway by $5 a share.
Nortek chairman Ralph R. Papitto said he has not received a response from the White Plains, N.Y.-based transportation company on the new $45-a-share offer. Wolcott had earlier said he would recommend to the Board of Directors that it reject the original offer.
