Okinawan Campus Opened: Chapman College has opened its 46th satellite campus on the Pacific Island of Okinawa, 500 miles south of Japan, where the first students will begin programs leading to master’s degrees in business administration on Sept. 2. The program will primarily serve Americans at Kadena Air Force Base and Camp Butler but will also serve civilians on the island, according to Chapman Vice President William Butler. Okinawa is the college’s first overseas program. Other satellite campuses are located in Colorado, New Mexico, Alaska, New York, Nevada, Washington, Illinois and Wyoming.
