A 32-year-old San Diego man has is being held on suspicion of manslaughter and drunk driving in connection with the death of an 81-year-old Chula Vista man killed while crossing a road Saturday, according to Chula Vista police.
Roy Sylvester Hon, a 32-year-old Navy employee, struck Julian Flores shortly before 5:30 p.m. as Flores was crossing the 200 block of Palomar Street, said Officer Randy Poff. Flores died in a hospital shortly after being struck.
