Flight Systems Wins $7 Million AF Contract

Flight Systems Inc. of Newport Beach Monday said it has been awarded a $7.1 million Air Force contract. The contract calls for converting F-100 aircraft into full-scale unmanned aerial targets for the Air Force Logistics Command at McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento. Flight Systems is a subsidiary of Tracor Corp. of Austin, Texas.
“The contract is to convert 48 additional tactical fighter aircraft,” said S.C. Warrick, Jr., group vice president for Tracor Flight Systems. “This brings the total order to date to 114 aircraft.”
