American Vision Centers Inc. of New York said Monday that it acquired four optical stores from Marvin Freeman of Laguna Beach for approximately $900,000.
The stores sell frames under the trade name, “Optica.” American acquired the stores, the assets, leases and a license to use the name Optica in all states except California.
Freeman will continue to operate two Optica stores in California.
AVC purchased stores in Galleria centers in Houston and Dallas, at One Magnificent Mile in Chicago, and at Trump Tower in New York.
AVC owns and operates or franchises 57 retail stores under the name American Vision Centers.
