The Board of Education of the Pasadena Unified School District this week approved an annual budget of $66.9 million, an increase of $7 million over last year.
District spokesmen said some special state allocations, along with an expected slight increase in enrollment, has increased the 1985-86 budget more than 12% over last year’s $59.5 million.
The board allocated most of the money to restoring programs that have been dropped or reduced, including high school curriculum supervisors, classes in foreign language, music and art, library services and school nurses. Class sizes in the elementary grades will be reduced, and the district will increase its all-day kindergarten program.
The district expects an enrollment of 22,650 when school opens in September, Deputy Supt. Joseph Zeronian said.
