Financing for a $48.8-million federal building in downtown Long Beach has won final approval.
President Reagan has signed a bill appropriating $22.6 million for the project, which had received $26.2 million in three laws in previous years, Rep. Glenn Anderson (D-Long Beach) announced.
The General Services Administration will soon decide the schedule for design and construction of the 187,000-square-foot federal building, said Anderson. It will be on Ocean Boulevard between Magnolia and Daisy avenues on the World Trade Center site.
