Body Parts Found in Hilly Area of Tujunga
Los Angeles police are investigating the death of a person whose partial remains were found scattered through a hilly area in Tujunga on Tuesday, a police spokesman said Wednesday.
Lt. Bernard Conine said a Tujunga resident found parts of a body at 4 p.m. while hiking near the 6200 block of Blanchard Canyon Road. Police found other body parts in a search of the area Wednesday, Conine said.
Though details were sketchy, Conine said it was probable that the body had been attacked and scattered by animals after the victim had begun to decompose. Police are not sure of the cause of death, he said.
